Ferries start running on May 3Rainsford Island Expedition
Rainsford Island is rich in history and beauty. Getting to the island requires either your own vessel or a special landing craft. The Friends of the Boston Harbor Islands have hosted trips to the island for several years. There will be two trips this season: May 10th from 1:00-5:00 and August 2nd from 12:00-4:00. Space is limited to 45 people. Tickets are available through the Friends at 781-740-4290. Bring your own picnic. There will be guided walks on the island led by Ellen Berkland. Pets and alcohol are not permitted.

Boston Light Tour
Take a thrilling boat adventure to the oldest and last staffed lighthouse site in the United States. The tour includes narration, climbing the working lighthouse, and views of Boston Harbor and the city skyline from the park's icon, Boston Light.
