Imagine that you are
safely moored in clear water just off a beautiful island at sunset, surrounded
by sea birds, striped bass, and of course your guests and crew. That dream can easily become a reality. And you can have it all just a
few minutes sail from downtown Boston.
Approximately 35 moorings
are available to serve the Boston Harbor Islands national park area. Located
in safe anchorage just off Long Island, Peddocks Island, Gallops Island, Georges Island, and Rainsford Island, these moorings are available at the following rates. Reservations are suggested, especially for weekends and
peak periods like Memorial Day, July 4, and Labor Day.
- $10 /Day (11:00 am - 4:00 pm)
- $15 /Evening (4:00 pm - 8:00 pm)
- $25 /Night (4:00 pm - 11:00 am)
- $35 /24 Hours
- $150 for NEW Season Pass
The Season Pass offers unlimited mooring for your boat with the following restrictions: 1) reservations required; 2) one reservation per week, during that week; 3) limited to two consecutive nights; and 4) not available at Georges Island.
Island Moorings, LLC.,
will pump you out, pick up your trash, and even bring you a newspaper
on the weekend. Because the project is a cooperative venture between
Island
Moorings, LLC., and the Island Alliancewith a percentage of the
fee going directly to support the parknot only is it a great deal,
it is a great way to support the park.
If you'd like to use
a mooring for an afternoonto enjoy lunch, to go fishing, or just
to get away from the crowdswe even have a $10 "lunch hook" special.

The islands near your
mooring positions are owned and managed by City of Boston and Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR). Island resources area fragile. Please take care if landing on park islands to not disturb natural or cultural features. A strict carry-on carry-off policy must be observed. Also, please abide by all regulations and directions by
officials representing these agencies, as well as the US Coast Guard and
local law enforcement agencies. |
